RIALTO WORLD MUSIC FESTIVAL COMING UP IN CYPRUS

The Cyprus World Music Festival takes place as from the  8th till the 30th July at the Heroes Square in Limassol.

All events of the Festival are open to the public, and this year's program includes sounds and melodies from the Mediterranean area with groups and important musicians from Cyprus and the more distant countries of the Basques Country and the Persians.

DRUGA GODBA KICKS OFF FESTIVAL SUMMER

EFWMF-Member Druga Godba continues its quest for 'The Other Sound'. With an all star programm featuring Juana Molina, Magnifico, Jambinai, Akua Naru, Mulatu Astatke, Bombino and others the Slovenian Festival celebrates it's 30th edition.

Lubljana is the place to be on May 30 and 31st, Happy Birthday Druga Godba!

New member!

We have a new member on board: the wonderfull Manifiësta in Bredene, Belgium.

This festival is going to celebrate its 5th edition in September 2014.

As the name indicates the festival has a very specific approach. It gathers all progressive powers and voices for alternatives. It is co-organised and funded by NGO's working for solidarity and equallity. Besides a musical programm that focuses on socially inspired artists, they have an interesting programm of international debates, movies, book fair, … The festival gathers almost 10.000 people from all layers of society.

Program International Gipsy Festival 2014

International Gipsy Festival 2014 will be on 24th and 25th of May.
During this weekend all kinds of gypsy bands perform at the Interpolistuin in Tilburg.
Once again, both days will be filled with musical surprises, special combinations and challenging projects.

Coming up: Kriol Jazz Festival

Kriol Jazz Festival will make the streets of the Cape Verdean capital resonate again from April 10th to the 12nd 2014. After giving tribute to Horace Silver, Code di Dona, Cesaria Evora and Manuel Clarinete, it is Morgadinho who will be honoured this time.
