After four short years, AWME has established itself as the southern hemispheres premier music industry conference and showcase event for Roots music. AWME pioneers new networks and creates opportunities for musicians world wide by engaging with industry representatives from around the globe.

In 2011 AWME brought together 300 musicians, over 460 local and international delegates and over 8500 audience members for four days of music, workshops, seminars and showcase concerts.

The 8 the edition of the Babel Med is scheduled for the last weekend of March 2012. (29 – 31 March)

Together with the Womex, Babel Med is one of the most important European music trade fairs for world music. You can now register, book a stand and/or take an advertising space in the Babel Med Music Catalogue.

Babel Med Music festival is organised by DOCK DES SUDS in Marseille. During 3 days, artists and music professionals from all over the world meet to check out new ideas, participate at conferences & debates, scout for new artistes and meet friends and colleagues.

 Since 8 years Babel Med Music encourages musical exchange and support possibilities for artistic and economic networking between cultural music professionals from the jazz and worldmusic sector.
