Visa For Music

The European Forum of Worldwide Music festivals will meet at Visa For Music.

Visa For Music (VFM) is the first professional market of Africa and Middle-East musics. The project was born from a paradox : on the one hand, the lack of visibility for African and Middle-Eastern artists at an international level and, on the other hand, an unseen artistic dynamism and musical creation from these musicians.

So, Visa For Music aims at highlighting African and Middle-Eastern artists.

Visa For Music is an essential and major meeting place for professionals of the whole music industry, whoever they are and wherever they are from. Visa For Music aims to be a sharing platform for the defense and promotion of the musical sector of African and Middle-Eastern countries.

Oslo World Music Festival

Oslo World Music Festival will in 2016 enter its 23rd year, and is scheduled to run from November 1st — 6th. During these six days you will find more than300 artists from all parts of the world performing at over 18 different venues in Oslo. The entertainment will range from flamenco, soul and fado to electronica, hip hop and desert blues.

The festival will also this year include other art forms that strengthen the festival profile, such as exhibitions, seminars, workshops, and interdisciplinary artistic expressions. The festival will continue its commitment to projects dedicated for, and with youth, and strengthen Children’s World Days and concerts suitable for families. The festival has for several years organized festivals at asylum centers in Oslo (called “VårtNabolag”) and is co-producer of Beirut & Beyond International Music Festival in Libanon.
