FWMF Member Meeting Montpellier

The FWMF had a wonderful Member Meeting in Montpellier. 

On 10 - 11 - 12 September the FWMF members held a meeting during Arabesques. 

We talked, inspired and laughed a lot. After al those months it was wonderful to finally meet again!

Since 2006 the association UNi’SONS organises Arabesques festival.
It is the most important festival dedicated to the arts of the Arab world in Europe. The festival offers a multidisciplinary program to promote the culture of the Arab world, from its traditional artistic expressions to its contemporary forms. Arabesques has become an unmissable event where both emerging artists and “living legends” meet.

WOMEX Festival Networking Meeting

The Forum of Worldwide Music Festivals is hosting a Festival Networking Meeting during the digital edtion of WOMEX.

This Network Meeting will focus on good practices of festivals the world over. How can we connect with our audiences in these times of distance? How can music touch the audience and make an impact through a screen? Many festivals and artists created wonderful alternatives and found ingenious ways to continue despite all the restrictions resulting from the pandemic. Join us and meet new festivals, share stories and innovative ideas and inspire one another.

Coming up: Fira Mediterrània de Manresa

The 23rd Fira Mediterrània Manresa is (re)scheduled for 13th to 18th October

"We do not postpone or reschedule popular culture celebrations, we celebrate and share them while adapting to the present – we re-think them." With this in mind and a commitment and responsibility towards the professional live arts sector, the entire network of popular and traditional culture and the citizenship, Fira Mediterrània de Manresa will celebrate an exceptional 23rd edition next October, held over 6 days in a hybrid format that combines online and live offerings. This will be a revised edition adapted to the current health crisis caused by COVID-19, with the aim of guaranteeing absolute safety for all participants (audience, professionals, technicians and organisation staff).
